The Issue
IMPORTANT UPDATE -PLEASE CONTINUE TO SIGN OUR PETITION ***
We are fighting to make a change to bring Hayden’s Law not only to Virginia but to every state in our country. California is the only state with this law in place. Hayden’s law would prevent a Rescue from euthanizing any dog, cat, or animal if another Rescue has requested to pull the animal. Pull meaning take on and care for.
Marley was euthanized even though she had several rescues willing to take her. They euthanized her on 2/26/23 during our Rally to save her life. Originally her euthanasia date was sent in an email to Marley’s foster mom stating it would take place on 2/27/22. Before our attorney could file TRO on 2/26/23 to stop Marley from being euthanized she was indeed euthanized. The attorney representing that rescue was told on 2/25/23 that our attorney was going to be filing the TRO.
We are now holding a vigil at the same location we held the rally. The vigil is from 5 to 7 this coming Saturday, March 4 2023. We would love all of you who can make it to join our candle lit vigil. We will also be asking that if you cannot attend that you please light a candle take a picture and post to your social media. We need to fix this broken system and protect the ones that have no voice!

The Humane Rescue Alliance has announced a kill date of Monday 2/27/23. Marley deserves to LIVE. A trainer, a 501c3 Rescue and a new home for Marley has all been secured ... YET, the HUMANE RESCUE ALLIANCE wants to kill her. BE HER VOICE and COME OUT ON SUNDAY! 71 Oglethorpe Street NW, Washington D.C., DC 20011

We have a trainer, a 501c3 Rescue and a new home for Marley....And yet the people want to kill her will not let us have her!!!!!
Marley ...is a sweet loving 7 year old mixed pit that is very friendly with all people. Unfortunately an incident took place in where in another dog while on a leash got away from her owner. The dog came at Marley and Marley felt the need to protect herself. She bit the other dog and for that she is being KILLED...She has NEVER attacked nor bitten a human being. Now Her life is at Stake ! They are going to kill her on 2/27/2023 unless we stand together to save her life. These dogs are discriminated against just for protecting themselves.
Please sign this petition ASAP and share with your friends and family for their signatures. Because we are dog lovers and we stand for the lives of all dogs we send our love and affection to the owner and the other dog. The other dog is doing better and will recover
