In Oklahoma pets are considered property and barely have any rights which my family and I would like to change. On Dec 14th, 2024, we experienced an awful event where the neighbor's two neglected pitbulls dug under their fence into my family's backyard and aggressively murdered our precious dog. They got a small punishment and that's it. We are trying our best to sue but it has been a struggle as no one wants to or can help us due to the lack of pet laws. It is our job as pet owners to care for our animals and fight for their rights!

I am aiming to have similar laws like the one in Chile called "Ley Cholito". The details of this law include overall health of the pet like food, water, medical, shelter, love, etc, owners are responsible for any damages caused by pets, owners must register dangerous dog breeds, owners can not abandon pets in the streets, no animal abuse/cruelty including neglect, and owners must always have a leash on their dog in public areas. The laws need to change to protect our beloved pets from any danger.

I want to take action to protect the lives of my other cute pets and the lives of all pets in the state of Oklahoma.
