We stand together to express our concern regarding the upcoming closure of the Xbox 360 Store and the discontinuation of key services for the Xbox 360 on July 29, 2024. The Xbox 360 is not only an integral part of gaming history but also a beloved console that has shaped the lives of millions of gamers around the world. With an estimated 84 million units sold as of 2014 which went up to 85.5 million in July 2022, it is clear that the Xbox 360 has had an immeasurable impact on the gaming community. 

The Xbox 360 offers a unique, simpler, and unreplicated gaming experience that many argue is superior to its successors. For years, this console has brought joy and connection to gamers, and it continues to hold a special place in the hearts of those who grew up with it. Unfortunately, with Microsoft's decision to phase out support for the Xbox 360 and discontinue the ability to purchase new consoles, this iconic piece of gaming history is slowly being taken away from us.

Our Request:

We propose that Microsoft takes action to ensure the continued support and functionality of the Xbox 360, allowing it to remain a playable and enjoyable console for years to come. Specifically, we request the following:

Extended Support for Digital Purchases: We ask that Microsoft extend the availability of the Xbox 360 Store, allowing users to continue purchasing digital games and downloadable content (DLC) indefinitely. This would ensure that gamers who invested in the Xbox 360 can still access and expand their digital libraries.
Preservation of Xbox Live Multiplayer and Online Services: The multiplayer and online services provided through Xbox Live remain crucial to the Xbox 360's unique experience.
