Polite ask.
Would whoever is taking down the posters publicising this campaign please stop doing so.
Unless you want to see Woodcot sold to a private owner - leave the posters where they are so that people can make up their own minds about what Age UK are doing.
Because if Age UK sell to a private individual instead of passing Woodcot to another charity - Salcombe will be the loser; The elderly residents will be the losers and Miss Jennings legacy will count for nothing.
So far 2,200+ have signed the petition. Many shopkeepers and businesses in Salcombe have willingly and displayed them in their windows… so it’s quite clear how people feel about what is going on.
Since the posters went back up again yesterday, more people are signing again….and guess what there are plenty more posters.
So - you know who you are … leave them where they are…
Thankyou.
