On the 19th of Feb 2019 @ 15:35 i went in person and handed in an open letter to the MD of Gemini Rail Group I have not had a reply back. I phoned to talk to the MD on the 28th feb 2019 to ask about the letter and a reply and was told he will not talk to me regarding the wolverton site but to give my mobile number to his PA and she will call me (still waiting) tried calling again today and both the MD and his PA are out today (ok bet there in their offices) I hate being mugged off. I was told i can not have their email addresses either but i had them from when they where under Knorr Bremse so i edited the addresses to @geminirg.co.uk and it worked but no response yet either but it is unlikely any one will respond as they don't care about saving the works. Here is the letter

Nick Fitzwater ,

As Admin of the group Wolverton Works save the Royal works and the lead objector to the demolition of the historical works site, Members of the group and myself have been discussing what we should be doing next given niether Gemini Rail or St Modwen have informed anyone including the council any future plans for the wolverton site.

We thought an open letter to Gemini Rail would be a good way forward this letter includes the main questions asked by group members and the public alike. I have chosen the best questions as alot of questions were the same and these questions should be easy to answer.

I myself would like to know why now Gemini has been at wolverton for 4 months now why there has not been a statement released regarding the future plans for the site?

We know that over 100 jobs have been advertised for wolverton as well as the floors in the the wheel shop have been strengthened and new carriage lifting jacks have been added.

I would also like to know about job security are the jobs at wolverton safe?

Given what we have learnt about Springburn we are concerned Gemini will do the same to wolverton

I would also like to know why Gemini Rail has refused to contact the town council or Cllr Marland about cleaning up the site?

I would also like to know what Gemini Rail are doing about the rest of the artefacts still in the old sawmill etc ? will these artefacts ever be recovered?

Here are questions the members want to ask

* Joe Quelch

Yes what would they do with all the buried asbestos and old battery plates buried all around the site just ignore them as is normal where money is concerned ?

* Patricia Robinson

Who gave you the authority to refuse not only to refuse to talk to individuals interested in this topic ,but also elected members of a local council , who represent the people who live in the area ? .Disgusting .

* Jackie Nott

What is the future plan for the Works? Would like to know their long term plans (if there are any )?

* Tink ErBell

Why have you left it to go into such a bad state of repair?

* Dave Mapeley

What is the reason that they do not want any contact with the local community’s.

* Jan Bristow

There plans?

* Trevor Walden

Can the company please redeploy some of the current staff to Building Maintenance? Scaffolding, woodwork repair and brickwork repointing skill training in-house so the staff and the rolling stock are not exposed to undue risk from the current poor building quality.

* David Millard

if the worst happens will heritage lines be able to salvage equipment, parts of the works etc? Preferably with transport costs covered by the developers.

* Clive Stapleton

The question I have for Gemini is how much of the Wolverton Work Site footprint is being used with current operations.

* Another Question follow on. What is the plan for operations at Wolverton over the next 3 years and how will this effect the current operational footprint?

We look forward to hearing from you soon

Regards
