Save Wolfies Legacy from being closed by the council!

The Issue

Wolfie's Legacy is a dog rescue charity specialising in saving and rehoming disabled dogs. Since 2013, Wolfie's has rescued and rehomed over 600 beautiful dogs, from amputees to blind dogs to abused and neglected, that likely would have otherwise been put to sleep due to their conditions.

Wolfie's is in trouble. Founder Gill Daghistani has been told by the council that the charity is no longer allowed to operate in it's current premises and an unreasonable time frame of 3 months has been given for Wolfie's to cease all operations. This means more and more dogs being failed by the human race, unable to find their forever homes because they may have 3 legs or they are blind. Dogs will lose their lives because of this.

We are asking for support. We need the council to know how much Wolfie's means to people and the work that they are doing. We ask that the council rethinks their demands to this charity and put themselves in the shoes of the dog lives that will be lost if this goes ahead.

These dogs have had to deal with the most terrible maltreatment at the hands of humans, more so because of a lack of compassion for their disabilities. Despite their suffering, Wolfie's rescues have an indomitable spirit and a will strong enough to overcome the greatest odds. If a dog has that glint in his eye and meets the five freedoms, then he deserves a chance, and he will get one with us, no matter what.
