Please spread the word that the land grab by gravel mines on and around Wilbarger Bend has now claimed the agritourism center - Barton Hill Farms, the popular corn/pumpkin maze serving families in Austin and Bastrop.  

This means that the riverbank on either side of Utley Bridge will become a vast hole -- without any public hearing about how this affects our water quality, food supply, public health or wildlife. Unlike other states, Texas miners are not required to repair the damage they cause.

Gravel mines are grabbing thousands of acres along the Colorado River. Please call Senator Charles Schwertner's office (512) 463-0105 (https://senate.texas.gov/member.php?d=5 to demand a public meeting to stop this environmental disaster.
