We, the community, are asking the Board of Education to dismiss Dr. Danielle Tormala as the Superintendent of the Wentzville School District or that she resigns of her own accord. 

Wentzville School District needs to welcome input from students, staff, parents and community members regarding how we as a district, can better serve them. Dr. Tormala has created a hostile environment for the Board and parents within the district. Her behavior is an example of what we do not want for this district or for our students.

Dr. Tormala allegedly held closed-door meetings with selected Board members and the Board attorney as a tactic to intimidate and single out each new Board member. Per policy 1705, closed session meetings need to be with the entire board.

Dr. Tormala allegedly shows aggressive behavior including intimidation or harassment tactics (1431Regulation).

Dr. Tormala has allegedly shown she is not willing to work with the newly elected members of the Board by not answering questions, not relaying information to them, having links in board documents
that do not work or providing supporting documents with no time for review.

Dr. Tormala has no concern for parents and patrons. This is essential for an effective administration (1705 Policy). No transparency on current issues.

Dr. Tormala allegedly helped to facilitate our District’s current ethical conflict of interest regarding the newly filed lawsuit by the Attorney General

Dr. Tormala is not maintaining a cooperative working relationship between the School District and the community regarding all Board of Education matters.       

These egregious acts have resulted in a divided community, hostile environment, and divided Board of Education. We believe that it is in the best interest of the school district and the community to remove this individual from her positions and install new leadership that will better serve the needs and interests of the education system and its stakeholders.

We understand that this is a serious matter and that the process for removing the superintendent may be complex and time-consuming. However, we are confident that the action we are calling for is necessary and justified, and we urge you to exercise your right and act accordingly to ensure the future
success and well-being of our schools and community.
