A huge thank-you to everyone who has signed and shared the petition so far and gotten us to almost 600 signatures!  There are only a few days left before the town council decides on whether to raze the area or let Vollskogen live!  Martin Løken of Miljøpartiet De Grønne (MDG) is doing everything he can to change the minds of the other politicians who are promoting the destruction of our local forest.  MDG, Naturvernstudentene, Spire Ås, and all friends of Vollskogen are holding a protest <https://fb.me/e/4G2RqHvVE> in front of Ås Kulturhus at 17:30 (5:30pm) on 11 October 2023 - decision day.  We need as many people as possible to join and show them that we won't accept such shortsighted thinking in our land management.  Politicians must be held accountable when they claim to be sustainable while removing productive forest at the same time.  The woodpeckers, bats, trees, and other organisms that live in Vollskogen still have a chance to continue living next to us and enriching our lives.  La Vollskogen Leve!
