There's No Limit Without Laws

A Virginia Beach property management company is suggesting that their residential property owners now consider daily rentals. The madness will continue unless we all continue to call and write our elected representatives. Here's an excerpt from that management company's monthly newsletter: "We are also watching a turning point with weekly reservations. It seems like it has almost been against the law to ever think about anything less than a 7 day rental in the Memorial Day to Labor Day time frame and while we are not there yet…. it’s definitely coming. We have seen the trend of short stays growing to be more and more popular and necessary. Think about the families with kids in sports all the time, both parents working and it’s hard to get away for the whole week. Families will take multiple short stays throughout the year to make up for the week long vacation in July. We see that with an increase in the number of short stays requests coming into the office. With the 2018 addendums being sent out in the next few months it’s time to consider if you want to offer that short stay option with daily rates for your rental home.
