March 13th 2017 Vernon Kin Horse Race Track goes to court with the City of Vernon wanting to destroy

Time is running out for the Vernon Kin Horse Race Track! on March 13, 2017 the City of Vernon and the Okanagan Equestrian Society will begin the court process to have a court decision as to whether or not the city has to honor the trust that was put in place when the city became the official land owner of the track. this trust was to guarantee that the land stay as a functioning horse race track and a historical heritage site for the entire population of the Okanagan . this is the place where the first official horse racing track in Canada was created and we owe it to honr and protect it from being destroyed. please sign and share this petition to have the governments above the mayor and city counsellors take charge and overturn the city's wishes to turn it into a parking lot and yet another sports facility.with more pople supporting it remain as a horse race track and the Queen of Canada financially assisting the city and the Okanagan Equestiran Society to rebuild and reinstate it as the First Horse Race Track in Canada it can become a central part of Canada's 150th year celebrations. print and sign this and take it to the court house on or before March 13th. call the city, write the mayor a letter, do what ever you can to make the voices of those the city waited out to die be heard through our voices to make the horse track a viable part of our community once again. we have to raise our support and make it known that there are many of us who want to keep the horse track and expand the land to encompass all equine events from riding lessons to shows to be held on the land. if we build it tourists will come and spend money in the city too. let's do this for the people to be. we can make it happen if we all join together and make it happen. our voices can make a difference if we get enough of them to be heard. please sign and share this. or give to the Okanagan Equestrian Society on their website or save the kin race track website or facebook page. please help make a difference and save the Vernon Kin Horse Race Track! make it a part of your lifeit will bring you something different to do on a weekend; come and watch the horses race around the track and take your chance on your guess as to which horse will win!
