Today, Monday, July 24, 2017, court commenced Save Kin Race Track

hello everyone, I have been busy wearing my posters that say, "Save Kin Race Track" and "Bring back Horses" around town to make the general population aware of the fact that the city wants to demolish the horse race track. I am surprised at the number of people who did not know what was happening and who want the horse track to remain and get back to horse racing again. others mentioned that they wouldlike to see more equestrian activities other than only horse racing there and I told them it would be possible should the Okanagan Equestrian Society win the court case. the court case is being held in new Westminister today and may run for the week. lets hope they win or the city will complete the destruction of yet another one of Vernon's heritage sites. imagine if Okanagan Equestrian Society wins, they would rebuild the granstands, fix up the barns, clean up the riding arena and bring back the horses for racing. the Okanagan Equestrian Society is also open to other equestrian events like horse shows, the 4H clubs using the facilities, and making changes to when the races are run so that the horse lovers who do not want to see the horses run in the high temperatures at 1:00 pm run earlier when it is cooler. the city and all the businesses would appreciate the tourist dollars that the track and equestrian center would bring to town. horses and people could reconnect and the children of Vernon and area wouldlearn about horses too. again I ask of you to please like and share this and please sign if you have not so that we can get this to the Queen and the Prime Minister. my first petition was to give it back to the indigenous people of this territory but that did not seem to be what they wanted or more would have signed. so do comment on what your ideas are for the horse track.
