There will be a Rally to Save Utica Friday, February 17!
The Rally will take place from 8:30am-12:30pm on Utica University's campus in order to coincide with the Utica University Board of Trustees meeting on campus to vote on whether or not to eliminate 15 majors, including Chemistry, Physics (BA), Geoscience, Philosophy, Spanish, International Studies, Therapeutic Recreation, Healthcare Management, Nutrition, and Sociology & Anthropology. They will also vote on whether or modify 8 more majors.
This event is open to everyone. It's a chance for faculty, students, staff, alumni and members of the larger community to come together and support one another. The event will take place at Duffy Plaza (outside Boehlert Hall) with marches planned throughout the morning.
There will be free coffee, hot chocolate, pastries, and cookies. There will be free shirts, stickers, buttons and posters. There will be faculty speakers and student speakers, and so much more!
