On February 25, 2022, we were taken out of our modern classes early to attend a meeting in which the department chair and three deans in the college of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences sat us down and told us that within the next 5 years, our department and dance degree plan will be phased out due to “low enrollment”. Starting this fall, no new faces will be accepted into the program. They have given everyone currently in the program 5 years to finish our degrees and after that, the program will no longer exist. We need you to help us and let them hear our voices. We will not be silenced and we refuse to back down. Help us save our beloved program!!!
