PETITION "LET'S HELP STOP KILLINGS, CRIMES, AND ATROCITIES COMMITTED BY RUSSIAN SOLDIERS AGAINST CHILDREN IN UKRAINE"
We, the undersigned activists, the members of non-governmental and non-profit organizations, and ordinary partial people, call on the United Nations, the European Council, the European Commission, the President of the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, and world and European leaders to take immediate actions to end the crimes committed by the Russian military against Ukrainian children. In particular:
- To convene a special session of the UN General Assembly to consider the situation in Ukraine regarding the killing, mutilation, rape, forced deportation, and other crimes against Ukrainian children by the Russian army.
- We demand that the General Assembly adopts a resolution obliging Russia, the aggressor country, to stop committing the crimes mentioned above against children in Ukraine.
- We call on all world leaders to take the necessary measures to ensure the implementation of this resolution.
- We demand that the European Council, the European Commission, the Council of the European Union, and the leaders of Europe immediately impose an embargo on the purchase of Russian oil and begin consideration of the ban on the purchase of Russian gas. More than 50% of Russia's budget comes from energy exports. Russia earns almost $1 billion per day from oil and gas supplies to Europe. Undoubtedly, most of this money is directed to the war against Ukraine, in which innocent children die and suffer.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to violate the rules of war. They use prohibited weapons, as well as regularly and purposefully attack civilian areas where children are found. Russian troops are destroying schools and universities, kindergartens, and orphanages.
At the time of publication of this Petition, 240 Ukrainian children had died, 676 had been injured, 232 480 young Ukrainians had been forcibly deported to Russia, and thousands of children had been orphaned due to Russian armed aggression during Russia's full-scale invasion. 1,837 educational institutions were affected by bombing and shelling by racists. 172 of them were completely destroyed.
The exact number of children raped by Russian soldiers is unknown ... The youngest girl was 6 months old. The youngest boy, who was raped by two Russian soldiers, was 1 year old. He died of the injuries. Rape as a war crime is the most serious crime and one of the constituent elements of genocide. Russia uses rape and sexual violence in other forms as tactics of warfare, systematically, everywhere, and with striking brutality.
Hundreds of calls are received daily to the hotline in Ukraine from mothers of children who suffered from the violence of Russian soldiers.
If the war waged by the regime of the incumbent President of the Russian Federation is not stopped in Ukraine, it will go further to Europe, destroying the destiny and taking the lives of children in European countries.
