The Issue

TV Time has become an essential app for many users around the world to track shows, movies, episodes, watch history, ratings, lists, progress, and years of personal entertainment memories.

After the announcement that TV Time will shut down on July 15, many users began searching for alternatives, exporting their data, discussing replacement apps, and even paying for competing services. But many of us are not leaving because we found something better. We are leaving because we feel forced to.

The reaction to the shutdown announcement shows that TV Time still has real value, loyalty, and daily use. Many users may have taken the app for granted when it was free, but now they clearly understand how important it has become in their viewing habits.

We respectfully ask TV Time and Whip Media to pause the July 15 shutdown and run a simple paid demand test before making the decision final.

This could be done through a 30-day “Save TV Time” supporter plan, a monthly subscription, an annual plan, or a pledge campaign. The goal would be simple: give users a chance to prove whether enough of us are willing to pay to keep the core app alive.

The core experience does not need to be complicated. Many of us simply want to keep the features that made TV Time valuable in the first place: episode tracking, watch history, progress, lists, ratings, reminders, comments, and the familiar simple design.

Right now, many users are paying competitors only because they feel they have no other choice. Many of us would rather pay TV Time directly than move to alternatives that do not offer the same simplicity, familiarity, and personal history.

We are not asking TV Time to remain free forever. We are asking for one final, transparent opportunity to test whether the community can support the app financially before it disappears.

Please pause the July 15 shutdown and test a paid plan before closing TV Time permanently.

Sign this petition if you want TV Time and Whip Media to give the community one final chance to keep TV Time alive.

TV Time caters to diverse users across the globe, offering a unique platform that facilitates not only show tracking but also engagement with content through discussions and reviews. The app enhances how viewers connect with their favorite programming, making it an essential part of daily entertainment routines.

An abrupt shutdown would disrupt countless subscribers who have woven TV Time into their viewing habits, relying on it to remember episodes watched, anticipate upcoming releases, and participate in discussions.

Rather than terminate the service, we urge TV Time's management to explore the introduction of a paid plan. This model could generate sustainable revenue, ensuring the app remains operational while adding potential features to enhance user experience.

By gauging interest in a subscription-based model, TV Time can secure its financial viability. Many users may be willing to support the app financially if it means preserving its availability and features. A pilot test of this paid model could be conducted to assess its potential success.

Join us in urging TV Time to pause the scheduled shutdown and consider the alternative path of a paid plan. By signing this petition, you give voice to the users who wish to keep this valuable resource thriving. Your support could make all the difference. Sign the petition now to show that TV Time is worth preserving for future enjoyment.
