We strongly oppose the closure of Tudor Elementary School, as recommended by the Anchorage School District "Rightsize" initiative. 

We believe that closing Tudor will:
🚩 OVERCROWD Lake Otis Elementary & Denali Montessori
🚩 REDUCE the availability of alternative programs in ASD
🚩 Exacerbate STAFF SHORTAGES and reduce staff effectiveness
🚩 DESTROY our community’s identity and social bonds, adding to developmental and mental health harm.
🚩 HARM the Tudor neighborhood and homeowners.
🚩 Be DETRIMENTAL to students’ educational outcomes.
🚩 NOT effectively save ASD money.
🚩 Unnecessarily LIMIT the significant growth potential of Tudor as an alternative program and community school.
