Trillians Rock Bar on Princess Square has been a safe and wonderful space for the rock, goth and alternative subcultures of Newcastle for at least 20 years. It is an iconic live music venue and one of the last remaining alternative leisure spaces left in Newcastle. To close it would not only detract from the character and marketability of Newcastle (long known for its individuality and varied drinking venues), but would also leave generations of patrons without a suitable,safe nightlife venue. Signing this petition to submit to the MP for Newcastle Central ,will show that Trillians has the support needed to keep it going, and that Newcastle needs and values its alternative spaces.
