Residents of Triangle Mountain: the green space, also known as 807 Bexhill, is at risk of being developed into ~18 single family homes. 

The area, currently a septic treatment field, is being decommissioned and sold back to the city in exchange for the surrounding strata properties being connected to city sewer. While this change is necessary for those residents, the loss of the green space impacts ALL OF US! This green space is home to countless animals and birds, a wide variety of plants and vegetation, and is well used as a walking area.

If the city of Colwood decides to develop this, the entire community loses access to this valuable, much-loved outdoor space, and countless animals lose their homes. 

The city of colwood recognizes in their Parks and Recreation Master Plan that Triangle Mountain is one of the most UNDERSERVED areas in BOTH parks distribution AND playground distribution (City of Colwood Parks and Recreation Master Plan, Page 49).

The city also recognizes that (page 115) that Ocean View Park is the ONLY playground on triangle mountain and it is not in walking distance for most residents in the triangle mountain neighbourhood. 

As a community, we need to work together to protect this space and have it designated as a park or playground to ensure families have accessible outdoor spaces to enjoy.
