KCC have earmarked our local recycling centre at Tovil as one of the ones they will potentially close as part of a bid to save money. Residents will have to travel through the already choked centre of town to recycle at Allington.

KCC are citing that fly tipping locally has decreased.  It may have done since the unprecedented rise during the covid pandemic, but our local byways and green spaces are still at risk of fly tipping from unscrupulous residents and contractors. 

Closing Tovil Recycling Centre will only exacerbate that situation and it is highly probable that fly tipping which has become the scourge of our countryside will be on the rise. We need to act now, we need to all stand together and let KCC know how we feel about the plans.
