The swimming pool at Todwick is facing closure at the end of May. This pool is an incredible resource to the community and I know how concerned residents in Todwick, and elsewhere, are. 

The Primary School has suffered huge cuts to its budgets over the last few years, and in 2023-24 faces a further government cut of *£40,000*. There are always consequences to government cuts on the services we all rely upon. But we must not give up. 

I am calling on the Education Secretary to prioritise Todwick for further funding to save the swimming pool. Reports suggest there is a fund worth £63 million for swimming pools facing budgetary pressures. It is hoped Todwick will be eligible for a small portion of this to keep our pool open.
