Tik Tok a place of freedom, happiness, and creativity clashing making everyone in the world happy. Tik Tok is a place where you can find info fast. Many people rely on Tik Tok, and even entire businesses have started on Tik Tok. With this Tik Tok Ban in place many people will suffer and businesses with collapse. The First Amendment States that, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” This means that a law (the Tik Tok Ban) should never take away the freedom of speech. This ban does this exactly by taking away a platform for no exact reason, rather being banned for the reason of Racism (against Chinese) and that youth getting information to fast.

     When the Congress was asking about if the owner of Tik Tok was Chinese multiple times he’s specifically said he was Singaporean multiple times, these questions going to the point where the owner of Tik Tok was laughing. They also asked idiotic questions like if Tik Tok accessed the home WiFi if connected to the home WiFi. These question were a stall tactic to make it seem legitimate as a real ban. Even though, the ban was for reasons of racism and stupidity. 

    Also since this ban is now in place in the US it’s an infringement upon the first amendment, freedom of speech. This is because, Tik Tok was a place to talk about issues and have serious debates. This ban got rid of this making it where there is no more freedom of speech on Tik Tok in the US. 

    Overall, this ban in an attempt to silence Americans and infringe upon rights and bring upon racism. If you stand for Tik Tok to be revived sign this petition.
