We were advised by legal experts to document other violations in the neighborhood in order to prove selective enforcement of the rules.

Today, my family accompanied me while we did that. We posted a message in the neighborhood group letting people know that we would be photographing these violations based on legal advice to document everything. We also let them know that we would not be turning any of this in to the association. This was just to prove our case.

Some friends of the board members and the son of the board member did come out and attempt to engage us in an angry exchange. We were utterly respectful and conscientious of people's property. We did not engage with these individuals.

When we arrived home there was a post on our neighborhood Facebook page by the board president's son, claiming that I was in my vehicle blocking his driveway. On the day in question I didn't drive my car at all and I have never done any such thing. We walked through our neighborhood today to document violations and nothing more.

We tried to explain to people why we needed this documentation for our case. However, there are always going to be people that either don't understand or won't understand or simply like to fight.

As stated in our last update, I was harassed by a few people in our neighborhood group. After harassment by the board member's son and another woman two days ago, I was the one who was removed from the Facebook group today.

The people who harassed me are still members of that group.

This does not bode well for the board. The only things I posted in the group were copies of our covenants and information regarding those covenants.

I have never broken any rules in the group. Therefore, the board president is engaging in further harassment.

The group of people who have harassed us in the past called the police on us. The police explained to them that we were well within our rights to do what we were doing. I'm sure these same people will be calling my husband's superiors, though my husband didn't interact with anybody. That's the price of being a police officer in today's anti-police culture.

As always, we appreciate your support. This is not something that we ever wanted to do. We just want to live our lives in peace and we want our neighbors to be able to do the same. We like the way our neighbors changed their door colors and placed items that they found in their yards to showcase their personalities. We would like to see more of that. We would like to end the HOA or at least curb their authority.

There is a clear conflict of interest here.
