A surge in donations to the cafe’s legal costs appeal has followed a report in the Oxford Mail newspaper on Thursday about the campaign.
As a result, the appeal has hit 90% of its initial target of £10,000 showing the strong support of members of the local community for the cafe.
Trial of the church’s eviction claim is now listed for the end of October in the High Court in London and the cafe’s legal costs will continue to grow.
A total of 162 supporters have now n contributed £9,008 to the cafe’s campaign which has a longer-term target of £100,000 to pay for legal costs already incurred.
Be aware that donations on the change.org site do not go to the cafe but support the petition company. So, if you can, please donate at

Supporters of the appeal have donated an average of £55 each with donations of between £5 and £1,000. Please give as much as you can. All money donated goes to a client account at the company’s solicitors.
