We are delighted to report that our petition against the action being taken by the Revd William Lamb and the church council to close our favourite cafe has reached 10,000 supporters.
This comes on the eve of the hearing at Oxford county court next Tuesday, 14th November, where the Church’s claim that Will Pouget and the operating company are trespassers will be considered.
We are informed that representatives of the local and national press will be covering the hearing and we will keep you all informed about the case.
All of you, we know, are outraged by the Church’s action after 20 years of successful trading by Will Pouget and the company which has benefited the Church so much both financially and in welcoming visitors.
There have been many new comments by supporters on the petition about why the Vaults is so popular and criticising the action taken by the church council led by the Revd Lamb. More than 600 of you have commented to date in support of the petition.
