If you've never heard of the vaquita, it's a small porpoise that is super endangered. There are only ten left in the world. It's really cute and always looks like it's smiling. But because there are gillnets in its habitat, it gets tangled in them and drowns. We can save the vaquita but only if we try. We need gillnets to leave the Gulf - forever, as well as bringing the vaquita population high enough. If we don't help, the vaquita will be extinct and that will ruin the ecosystem, plus that will just be sad.
