Save The Ultimatum: Queer Love and its global impact

The Issue

I had the incredible opportunity to be part of season 1 of "The Ultimatum: Queer Love," a groundbreaking reality show that touched the hearts and lives of countless individuals around the world. Since its airing, I've received an overwhelming number of messages from viewers who found the courage to embrace their true selves, thanks to the show's powerful representation of love in all its forms. It's astonishing to think about the impact a single TV show can have on personal journeys toward self-acceptance and understanding. Our show wasn't about being perfect - it was about being *real* just like any other couple.

Our show reached the pinnacle of success as it became the #1 Netflix reality show in six different countries and gained significant viewer attention (more watch minutes than Ultimatum Married or Move On, straight season)  according to unbiased Nielsen Data. The show’s audience demand has also been measured as 2.7× the demand of an average series in the U.S. (per Parrot Analytics) This remarkable achievement was not about financial gain, but about bringing real, diverse stories to the global stage. Each episode helped bridge cultural gaps by showcasing that love, in its many varieties, is universal.

However, there's more to be done. The push for LGBTQ representation in mainstream media is crucial for the psychological and social well-being of the community. When you see yourself reflected on screen, it validates your identity and fosters an inclusive society where everyone has the freedom to be themselves without fear.

In saving "The Ultimatum: Queer Love," we're not only preserving a TV show. We're sustaining an essential platform where LGBTQ voices are heard and celebrated. Moving it to another network, perhaps with a fresh theme and new name, could continue to highlight diverse love stories on an even wider scale. Let's amplify that influence, not silence it.

Join me in the fight against LGBTQ erasure by supporting our petition. Let's ensure that authentic, queer narratives remain in the global spotlight, fostering understanding and acceptance for all. Please sign this petition and help us keep these vital stories alive.

When we get enough signatures, I hope to send it off to various networks so they can see how much of an audience is willing to watch.
