I am an ardent advocate for animal rights, fueled by my deep love for these innocent creatures. For countless others in Weaverville, CA and myself, the issue at hand is profoundly personal. The Trinity County Animal Shelter stands as a beacon of hope for our four-legged friends, a haven where they are cared for, loved, and given a chance at a new life. However, this refuge is currently under threat due to the Trinity County Board of Supervisors' reported mismanagement of funds. This is not a matter we can afford to overlook - doing so imperils the lives of countless animals and exacerbates an already dire overpopulation issue. 

The Trinity County Animal Shelter is the only one in our county, answering a critical need within our community. Animals, creatures incapable of speaking out themselves, rely upon us - upon our advocacy, our voicing of their plight - to defend them. We can no longer permit the Board of Supervisors to prioritize their special interests over the fate of these innocent lives. We call for a thorough and transparent account of fund usage, and for the board to be held responsible for their actions.
