The creator of the petition to save the historical third floor of the Royal BC Museum, Sasha Izard is running for a position on Saanich Council and for CRD director.

Through a council run, Sasha hopes to be able to preserve traditional neighbourhoods in Saanich and elsewhere in the CRD from pre-zoning, a euphemistic term being proposed, for potentially blanket rezoning of areas, without the traditional processes of community/neighbourhood input.  Sasha believes that only with a firm connection to and understanding of our historical heritage can we hope to move wisely into the future.

Thankfully due to the actions of many, the current Museum facility, has been saved from destruction.

The Old Town in the Museum may be damaged and hidden from the public, but let's not let the wider area of Greater Victoria fall to a similar fate. 

The election will take place on October 15th, with advance polling earlier.
