Dear supporter - 

Thank you so much to the 400 people who've signed our petition in the past two days: we are so grateful for your show of solidarity.  We're heartened, too, by the comments you've made on the petition.  You're all confirming what we know, that one tree is important, and can be so central to people's lives.

As you'll have seen, Lewisham Council has responded to the petition. We've also received emails with more information detailing their options. It's great that they've taken notice.

Just to reiterate, we're all really pleased that Lewisham is replacing the bridge. We still think there are unanswered questions, however, about how they're planning to do this.

Please keep sharing the petition and commenting on Lewisham's response.  We'll let you know what's happening next.
