The Surf and Turf Tennis Club has been run and operated by Alex Levie for over 30 years. The club rents the land from the Del Mar Fairgrounds. This summer, other parties have expressed interest in taking over the lease and if this happens the Surf and Turf Tennis Club will be no more.

The fairgrounds, in keeping with their bylaws, have put out a public notice (RFP), allowing large corporations or directors to make a bid on the property. This process will end in late August and the new tenants will be announced. The property will remain a tennis facility, however, if Surf and Turf does not prevail our unique and inclusive programming, leagues, reasonable fees, clinics, management, membership and coaching staff will no longer exist. We need all the support we can get!
