Quarry Street, the epicentre of Hamilton's town centre is 'dying on its feet'. The traditional town centre has become a 'ghost town'. A once bustling, vibrant 'main street', Quarry Street has, because of successive Council planning decisions and structural mistakes, been deprived of people and traffic, with all emphasis given to retail parks and external outlets. Council action is required now to save this once great street.
