The Issue

Land theft is happening right now…

Mr. Smith has owned his 600 acres of Farmland in Rural Georgia since 1926. For which has been a great farm for the surrounding communities. It’s been used to feed generations and paid for educations.
Today, he is fighting to keep his land from being taken by a railroad company called Sandersville Railroad Company. They want to seize Mr. Smith’s property through EMINENT DOMAIN, claiming it needs the land for a new railroad. To Mr. Smith and his family this land is more than just DIRT! IT IS THEIR LEGACY!! A piece of History that has survived through the Jim Crow ERA as well as systemic racism.
We need to protect the rights of this family against MODERN DAY LAND THEFT! As we prepare for this fight we hope we can help Mr. Smith and his family KEEP THEIR LAND FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
