A person that everyone grew up with is facing a crisis. His name is Farmer John. 

Farmer John came to the United States and farmed wheat from the early depression until 1947. He was able to make a living as a farmer while supporting a wife and three kids. He was the inspiration behind beloved stories and songs such as old MacDonald had a Farm and around the farm. However, farmer John and many others like them have been disappearing the last few decades because of the lack of support. Our country's agriculture is increasingly relying on a few giant industrial farms and we have seen the consequence of this through the empty shelves during the pandemic and we will continue to see these shortages through drought and other events in the future.

We can prevent this by supporting small farms like farmer John. There is a legislative bill in Washington state that will provide funding for small farms to purchase equipment used in crop production.

Farmer John has supported us and now it is our turn to give him support. we call on the Washington state legislator to pass this legislation to provide support to small farmers like farmer John
