Save the Small East Lake View Wetland and Wildlife Corridor

The Issue

This video shows clearly that animals have been using this natural area for generations. They are telling us, in the only way they can, that they need this space to survive. This wetland and corridor are part of Chestermere’s natural environment — and once they are destroyed, they are gone forever.
We, the residents of Chestermere, are calling on City Council to stop the proposed development on East Lake View Road. This wetland is only one of many serious concerns, but it is a powerful reminder that development should not come at the cost of wildlife, habitat, and the natural balance that has existed here for centuries.
Protecting this area is more important than pushing forward a project that will erase what little natural space we have left.
