SAVE THE SMALL BUSINESSES IN LEIMERT PARK!!! - Keep our parking lots open

The Issue

City Council District 10

200 N. Spring St, Room 420
Los Angeles, CA 90012

Small BIPOC businesses have suffered an unspeakable hardship during this pandemic. Leimert Park Village is filled with Small black-owned businesses and legacy businesses, and now we face the possible closure of a parking lot that is vital for our businesses.

We, Business owners of Leimert Park, have not received a formal notice from the city, but we are aware of CD10’s attempt to close city parking lot 625 (behind The World Stage) for festivals that will supposedly take place Saturdays and Sundays of every week. The closure of this specific parking lot on weekends will be a disaster for all the businesses surrounding the parking lot.

The Businesses in Leimert Park have gone through enough hardship, including, covid, and area's maintenance issues, we cannot afford to lose the much needed 172 parking spaces of parking lot 625.

Business Owners, community members, and stakeholders who signed below have come together to ask City Council District 10 to Stop any attempt to host festivals, farmer's markets, and or any type of gathering in parking lot 625.

Business Owners, community members, and stakeholders who signed below have come together to ask City Council District 10 to keep parking lot 625 available for parking on weekends and every day of the week.

Business Owners, community members, and stakeholders who signed below have come together to ask City Council District 10 to open parking lot 626 across from Regency West.

Business Owners, community members, and stakeholders who signed below have come together to ask City Council District 10 to clean secure, and maintain city parking lots 625 and 626 and make it available for parking of customers, clients, employees, and visitors seven days a week.
