Please help us let the City of Salem, VA know we want to keep our SkatePark at the Moyer Sports Complex. Removing it all together or relocating it is an injustice to the people of this town who use it. Our skate community deserves the SkatePark they were promised, not a revamped version off in some other location that would be "better suited". If we do not stand up and let our council know we will not accept this change, we may never have our park replaced, or it will be replaced with less than what was promised. If we don't act now, it may be to late to save our park! Pickle Ball courts already exist in the city and our skatepark is now slated to be replaced with additional pickle ball courts. Our youth outreach and community development should be more important than a few pickle ball courts or tournaments. There are PLENTY of parks around our town with room for pickle ball courts. We were promised a state of the art skatepark in the area it has been located in for 20+ years and our council and parks and rec should deliver on the promises it has made to us! Please help!
