My  name is Saskia Archondopoulos.  I am  7 years old. I love ORANGUTANs and I was given a book from Santa for Christmas called There's a Rang-tan in my bedroom.

I was devastated to learn from this book about Humans destroying the Indonesian rainforest to make way for palm oil plantations. These beautiful creatures live in the rainforest and spend most of their lives playing in the trees, they even sleep in leafy tree nests!

 We Humans use a lot of palm oil. You find it in lots of things from crisps chocolate, shampoos,  shower gels cleaning products and even toothpaste .There's nothing wrong with using palm oil if the tress are grown responsibly but the problem is that a lot of palm oil ISN'T grown responsibly. Instead, tropical rainforests are being torn down so that palm-trees can be planted to make palm oil and animals like ORANGUTANS, ELEPHANTS, TIGERS and BIRDS are loosing their homes.

Please take notice when you buy products and only use products that contain sustainable palm oil and let's make these companies sit up, hear our voice and make the change to using sustainable palm oil the law in the making of any products.

I am also writing a letter to all of these companies to ask for change and would love for you to join me and sign this petition to change the law to make it illegal to use unethically sourced palm oil.

Please can you and your little ones write a letter to these companies too !
