"Predators of the Heart" is a sanctuary in Anacortes that houses wolves, sloths, and other exotic animals that have been rescued from authorities or abandoned by their owners. However, three wolves escaped and killed a neighbor's dog. A number of the neighbors sued "Predators of the Heart" with the goal of shutting it down permanently. It has been unable to operate for the past year because of a permit issue. With no income, the lawsuit is draining the money the shelter has in reserve.

There is a location that the shelter wants to move to, but the price tag of $2 million is unaffordable for them currently. Few places can take care of exotic creatures, so it is believed that 80% of the animals will have to be euthanized. There are only estimated to be a few weeks to find them new homes or to put them down. Please sign this petition for the animals.  We need to raise awareness.
