Save the Pointon Community Pavilion from Unjust Condemnation

The Issue

Pointon Pavillion has been a cornerstone of our community in Pointon, Sleaford since 1968. It's more than just a building; it's a place where we've celebrated weddings, birthdays and parties. It's where our football club players change and gather for camaraderie. However, despite local authority building control stating that the pavilion is not dangerous but merely in need of maintenance and renovation, our parish council has unjustly condemned it.

This decision leaves us without social club facilities and deprives our football club of essential changing rooms/welfare facilities. Even though qualified tradesmen who are also players at the FC have generously offered their services for free to maintain and renovate the pavilion building, they have been denied access by the parish council.

We believe this decision is not only detrimental to our community spirit but also disregards potential solutions presented by members of this very community. We urge you to consider how important this facility is to all of us here in Pointon - it's more than just a structure; it represents decades of shared memories and communal bonds.

We call upon you to join us in urging the parish council to reconsider their decision. Let's work together towards preserving an integral part of our community rather than tearing it down. Please sign this petition today - let’s save our beloved pavilion until grants can be obtained to build new facilities.
