I've been living on North Riverside Blvd for close to a decade and have seen a number of people come and go from the neighborhood. We recently got a new addition to the neighborhood, a family of at least 2 with 2 dogs. This is one of the most pet friendly neighborhoods in Goshen, it's common to see people conversing on the sidewalk while in the middle of a walk with their dog. This new family has a pit bull puppy. Since they moved in 6/27/2024, the puppy has been left out in the humidity, heat and rain that has been happening this week. They lock the puppy up in the shed overnight, without air conditioning or any type of ventilation. While feeding the pup, every time the baby went to eat it was YANKED back by its collar and smacked in the snout. This happened 3 times in a row during one feeding period. They do not play with the dog, interact with it, or bring it inside. While everyone raises their pets differently, no one should ever be raising a hand to their animals. Goshen PD is aware of this house, and has been told that it attacked their smaller dog and did nothing. Goshen PD also paid a visit last night around 11pm, heard the puppy whining in the back, and drove off. Please sign this as a show of support that this is NOT what Goshen will stand for. These people AND Goshen PD need to be held accountable.
