Save the Online Servers for Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360

Save the Online Servers for Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
The Issue
Dear Electronic Arts,
We, the dedicated fans of the Battlefield series, are reaching out to you with a heartfelt request to reconsider the decision to shut down the online services for "Battlefield 3" and "Battlefield 4" on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, scheduled for November 7, 2024.
These games are not just titles in the gaming industry for us – they are places where we have forged friendships, shared unforgettable moments, and built a community that remains active to this day. Many of us still actively play and enjoy the unique gameplay that these titles offer.
We understand that technology evolves and that focus shifts to newer platforms and games. However, we believe that preserving the online servers for these two iconic games would show respect to the long-standing and loyal player base that continues to support and cherish the Battlefield brand.
We kindly ask you to consider extending the life of these servers or finding an alternative solution that would allow our community to continue enjoying their favorite games. This would not only bring joy to thousands of fans around the world but also demonstrate your commitment to the gaming community and the values we all share.
There are still hundreds of players actively engaged in both games daily, with many dedicated fans keeping the community vibrant by renting and maintaining dozens of servers. If keeping the official servers online is not feasible, allowing the option for server rentals to remain would be a viable alternative. This would enable multiplayer gameplay to continue as long as fans are willing to pay for server hosting. In return, we ask that you preserve player statistics and keep the online services active. This way, the community can still enjoy the multiplayer experience that has kept us coming back for years.
We urge all Battlefield fans and the broader gaming community to support this petition and show that these games still hold a special place in our hearts and on our consoles.
Thank you for your attention, and we hope for a positive response from you.
