We have been made aware that the lease on the Oddfellows is not being renewed when it expires in October 2023. After the committee’s continued efforts to try to obtain a renewal of the lease has been unsuccessful there was a special general meeting on 24th August 2023, where the social members of the club came together along with the committee to try to find ways to try to save our beloved club which has been part of the Denshaw community for over 100 years. 

The club is the heart of our Denshaw community and to lose such a place will come as a great loss to not only our village but to many others who travel to visit. The club is not only used by members but also by cyclists, walkers, traffic when the motorway stops, supporters and contestants of the annual band contest and many more.

It is with this in mind that we are asking for all members and anyone in the public who feels they are willing to support our club to sign this petition in hope to secure a new lease on the building and be able to keep the heart of our village the Oddies open! Whether you are regularly seen at the Oddies or only visit on occasion or even just want to help we would be so grateful for the support!
