Today we did it.

Normal people stood up to a £200m development and millionaires - and came out on top.

The Swadlincote Incinerator was rejected outright at the Derbyshire Regulatory Planning Committee. 

The vast public representations including our 3500 signature strong petition was referenced. 

We can celebrate a little - but we expect to have to regroup to challenge an appeal. Keeping our petition going is still useful ahead of this. 

For now, let’s celebrate the power of people coming together to say ‘no’.
