Save the Narrows of The Harpeth!

Save the Narrows of The Harpeth!

The Issue

The Cheatham County Commission is considering a county-wide zoning amendment and zoning law change to allow large commercial resorts and hotel developments in Rural Areas throughout the County.

The amendment stems from a proposed commercial development at 1548 Old Cedar Hill Road, currently known as Bell’s Reserve.

The planned development, if approved, will forever change the landscape of the rural area near The Narrows of the Harpeth State Park. A park meant for all Tennesseans to enjoy. The large commercial mixed-use development would include at least 120 residences for short term rentals, restaurants and a spa/fitness center.

We ask the Cheatham County Commission and Planning Commission to oppose any rural resort zoning amendment and to protect our Rural Areas from unwanted commercial development.
