The McFarland City Council members are urging Kern County officials to allow them to convert the McFarland Public Library into the new headquarters for the McFarland Police Department. This is a huge blow to a community that already lacks public services. Rewarding a police department, with a long history of corruption, with the city's only public library is disgraceful and negligent. What McFarland needs are more places, like public libraries and community centers, not more corruption and misuse of city funds. Together we can be one voice!
