Petition updateSave the Lone Tree Bluffs - Before They’re Gone ForeverWE NEED YOU TO COMMENT! - Public Referral is Open for Hillcamp

Hello Community,

HNY, Wishing you a 2026 full of love, peace and plenty of walks, runs or rides on the Bluffs.

This is an IMPORTANT update as we need you more than ever. The City of Lone Tree has opened public referrals for four separate Hillcamp development applications. This is one of the most critical stages in the process for public input.

Why this matters:
Comments submitted during referral are reviewed by City staff, must be addressed by the developer, and become part of the official record. Issues not raised now are much harder to introduce later. This is your moment to make a change and speak up - thoughtfully, clearly, and while the City is still required to listen.

What we're asking you to do:

Submit comments directly through the Comment Response Form for each application (four in total) as the city will consider them all as separate, but connected, projects. We want to make sure the City of Lone Tree hears each and every one of your voices and why this land matters to all of us.

*** Important: Each application must be commented on separately and the deadline to comment is Tuesday, February 10, 2026. We ask that you submit these as soon as possible and definitely before this date.

The Four Applications: you can also click on the names to access their respective links.

1. START HERE: Hillcamp Sub-Area Plan

2. Final Plat – Cabela Drive Extension (Hillcamp access road

3. RidgeGate Rural Residential Preliminary Plan (261 homes)

4. Southridge Preserve Preliminary Plan (82 homes)

*Tip: Start submitting with the Sub-Area Plan first and then focus on the Cabela Drive Extension Application, as the entirety of "Hillcamp" as it is proposed relies on this access.  The project narratives on each application give an overview, and if you’re interested in the details, there are LOTS of reports you can review. Remember—every report is provided by the developer and has not been approved by the City.

Find a more detailed article about it on our website at: SAVE THE LONE TREE BLUFFS - Public Referrals Open

If you care about wildlife, wildfire safety, traffic, water, open space and protecting the bluffs and trails  —NOW is the time to speak up.

Thank you for being engaged and informed. We really appreciate you!
