Save the Lodge garden as a wildlife refuge

Save the Lodge garden as a wildlife refuge
The Issue
The Council plans to fill in a fox earth & also to clear the foxes safe haven in the overgrown Lodge garden in the next few months.
We ask the Council that any filling in of active fox earths, should it be absolutely necessary, be at the very least delayed until any cubs are more independent in the summer ( Wild Mammals Protection Act 1996).
We urge the Council to reconsider the proposed clearing of this area to create an urban textile garden for community use in favour of keeping it as a wildlife haven and refuge for the resident foxes.
This garden is the fox family home, where vixens can relax while the cubs suckle or learn new skills. It's a place of protection when the foxes feel threatened by the increasing amount of off lead dogs. Without this space the very survival of this beautiful family is at risk.
This well loved fox family has quite a following & has provided a real insight into fox behaviour & family dynamics. Their safe habitat is precisely what we should be cherishing as part of the Government Nature Recovery Network.
I've intentionally not disclosed the location for the fox families safety. Please respect this by doing the same in any comments.
