Save the lives to all Venezuelans in risk of Deportation by granting DED

The Issue

Many Venezuelans have been deported, and many are in deportation proceedings after their asylum claims have been denied. Venezuela has reached the fifth place in asylum applications in the world, but that is not enough because many Venezuelans do not qualify for asylum even though they have fled their homeland due to extreme hardship caused by the political changes Hugo Chavez is implementing in Venezuela. Before Chavez, Venezuelans did not have to migrate anywhere because they lived in freedom and democracy. Since Hugo Chavez started to implant a Castro-communist regime in 1999, Venezuelans who have been deported from the U.S. have been harassed, imprisoned, persecuted, tortured, dismembered and even killed because they are considered "homeland traitors" just by the mere fact they are coming from the U.S.   Several U.S. Congressmen already asked for a protection in favor of Venezuelans to former President George Bush at the end of March of 2007, but there was no response. Right now, country conditions have worsened dramatically in Venezuela but only 21% of the asylum claims are being approved by the U.S. Government.   On April 24th, 2012, a letter has been sent to President Barack Obama asking for the same protection which was petitioned back in 2007. Among other things, the letter points out that Venezuela has become a Drug-Terrorist State that has established dangerous and malignant alliances, making massive arms purchases to Russia, China and Iran, and establishing ties to terrorist groups like FARC, HAMAS and HEZBOLLAH. Likewise, it adds that this Drug-Terrorist State has managed to manipulate the electoral system as a “ball of putty” with the help of some unscrupulous politicians who claim to be in the opposition and with the current self-censorship of the independent media.   Orvex President, Elio Aponte, has said that this letter is the first of several measures to be undertaken in conjunction with other organizations in order to stop the deportation of Venezuelans due to the precarious human rights conditions prevailing in Venezuela.   Likewise, such letter states that there is an undeclared civil war in Venezuela which has left more than 160,000 murders in the 13 years of the Chavez’s government which are conveniently disguised as "common-crime murders”, and that behind those murders lies the action of illegally armed “collectives”, death squads, the Bolivarian Popular Militia, and the “Francisco de Miranda” Front; the latter created by Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro in Havana, Cuba, in June 2003, and whose actions in defense of the revolution will be "DISCHARGED BY HISTORY" according to Hugo Chavez's own words reported on national radio and television.   The letter ends by appealing to the good heart of President Obama, and raises a prayer so God would illuminate him in order to find the best possible way to stop such injustice.

This is why it is important that you sign this petition so President Obama issues an executive decision to stop the deportations of Venezuelans in exile, saving them from the evil hands of Hugo Chavez and his criminal government.
