Save the Leeds Rifleman Pub

The most recent landlord has left, and now The Leeds Rifleman has closed down. It's a long standing pub with a rich history in the community and whom many have fond memories for. It is the only remaining local pub and  residents would like to ensure it stays a pub.

The Rifleman has been responsible for bringing so many together in the local community over the last few decades and to lose it would be a tragic blow to the estate.

While there has been no formal word on the plans for the future of the pub (that we know of) What we do know, is that the management of the building (Star Pubs) plan to sell their lease back to the council - leaving the future uncertain for the pub.

This petition is to inform the council with hard data that the demand for a local pub in the area is still present, and it is in everyone's best interest that the building remains as the Leeds Rifleman pub.

It's important that we act now as the sooner we can communicate with the council before any plans commence, the more likely we are in succeeding.
